Finally the wait seems to come to an end for an affordable 250cc bike as Honda’s new 250cc will grace us with its presence soon.
R&D work on the bike had been completed and trial run will be given to the bike during the next 3 months. However, before the 250cc bike launch, HMSI will be upgrading the 125cc Shine and will also launch the upgraded Unicorn (150cc) – the third upgrade since it’s launch 5 years back.
Though there are no confirmed details on the specifications of the bike, it is expected to be the CBX 250. The CBX250 combines naked appeal with modern new styling and slightly stepped seat for increased pillion comfort. The CBX’s power comes from a quick-revving DOHC 4-valve engine that starts quickly with the push of a button and pumps out an impressive surge of acceleration to maximise riding enjoyment. The new 249cc DOHC single cylinder air-cooled engine has 24hp of power helping the bike reach 100 kmph in just 9 seconds and a top speed of 140kmph.
The Bike is expected to be launched in less than six months, just before diwali and will be prices around 1.5 Lakhs.
